FCT Police Charges 51 Individuals for Spreading Falsehood and Possible Manslaughter in Missing Manhood Cases

Police

In a recent development, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command disclosed that there have been 62 reported cases of alleged disappearance of manhood within the territory. Addressing reporters at the command's headquarters, FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, revealed that out of these cases, 51 suspects have been apprehended and taken to court on charges of spreading misinformation and inciting disturbances.

According to Garba, the suspects wrongfully accused others of causing the disappearance of their manhood, resulting in incidents of mob violence against the accused parties. He urged residents to cooperate with security personnel to ensure a crime-free environment in the city.

Garba explained, "The initial case of male organ disappearance was reported in Gwagwalada on 21/09/2023. Since then, this phenomenon has spread throughout the FCT like wildfire, with a total of 62 cases reported to date. We have taken legal action against 51 suspects for providing false information and provoking public unrest. I want to reaffirm my dedication and readiness to collaborate with you all to combat crime in all its forms in the Federal Capital Territory."

"I must admit, I've had my doubts about the effectiveness of the Nigerian police🤷‍♂️

The saga of missing manhood has been circulating since my earliest memories. It's a peculiar tool in the Nigeria's propaganda arsenal. I often ponder who could deploy such a weapon against the citizens, affecting their mental well-being, and why🤷‍♂️😒

What remains unmistakable is the apparent complacency of the Nigeria Police in this whole affair, except recently. This leaves me wondering why🤷‍♂️

Why now?

Why didn't they probe this longstanding public spectacle meant to manipulate and instill fear in the minds of the people? Why endorse it, encouraging abnormal reasoning for years? Why?

Do the police realize how many citizens have suffered the accusation of stealing a manhood? Not to mention the brutal mob justice that often ensues😒

And what about those who didn't survive the ordeal? Were they guilty or innocent?

I've yet to encounter someone without a manhood claiming it vanished after being touched. Have you?

Who's deceiving whom?

What's the truth of the matter?

Why did the police tolerate it to this extent before taking action against these propagandists and rumor spreaders?

Why wait for others to do their job before stepping in?

I firmly believe that if outlets like Brekete and other media hadn't started asking probing questions, the police might have remained silent till now😏"
